Showcasing my πŸ’™ for Notion and Documentation

Because remembering why we changed that button 1 month ago? That’s power. 🧠✨

🚩 The Challenge

In complex projects β€” designs go through dozens of changes. But we often lose track of the reason behind those changes. Was it compliance? Tech feasibility? UX feedback? Missed by business in the requirement? Was it an enhancement?

Β

We needed a centralized, structured, and searchable way to track iteration history with full context.

πŸ› οΈ Our solution

We designed a Notion-based tracking system that acts as both a decision log and a design reasoning dashboard. It helped us not just track what changed, but why, when, and who initiated it.

πŸ”‘ Key features:

Iteration by topic, feature, and reason

Β

eg: "Fixed deposit β†’ Regular returns β†’ First iteration"

Recent activity

Shows the tracking that has been down in the last 7 days

Kanban board by size of iteration

Tracks the size of idea sits: Small, medium or large

Embedded Figma previews & Slack/Jira links

Creates a connected ecosystem across tools

Visual dashboard

Built a gallery-style board view for reviewing changes by sizing, project and reason

🎯 The Impact

βœ… Created alignment between design, product, and tech
βœ… Made it easy to retrace decisions during reviews or handoffs
βœ… Enabled us to spot recurring feedback themes and fix at scale
βœ… Saved hours during retros and audits by turning discussions into data

βœ… Helped new designers onboard faster by understanding context
